Adam Colthorpe

Adam leads the Fundraising and Communications at Kenward Trust. He brings over ten years of senior leadership experience across the charity and social enterprise sector, with a track record of delivering transformational results for purpose-driven organisations.

Adam has held director-level positions at regional and national charities including Porchlight, South Kent Mind, and Headway Kent, with particular expertise in income generation, strategic communications, governance, and organisational development. He co-founded a male mental health and suicide prevention charity, where he served as Chair of Trustees and later Director of Core Service, leading over 1,350 cases of one-to-one care navigation across England and Wales. His leadership has delivered exceptional growth for charities through strategic development, digital transformation, diversified income generation, and a deep commitment to evidence-based practice.

Adam has designed therapeutic programmes aligned with NICE guidelines, led digital transformation projects, and served as a national media spokesperson on male mental health. His research has contributed to national policy change, and he has initiated sector-wide alliances for systemic improvement..

Outside of work, Adam volunteers as a charity CEO mentor through Charity Mentors Kent & Medway. He lives in Kent with his wife, three children, and their dog. He is working on reigniting his interest in sketching and photography, and values the balance between professional commitment and family life.
